4 Verb: negative form
Частица ставится после глагола, пишется отдельно.were crying — were not crying
has posted — has not posted
Present simple 1в, Past simple 1в). в) Модальные глаголы ( Modal verbs), а также глагол be и в некоторых случаях have (см. have / have got) образуют отрицательную форму непосредственно присоединением к глаголу частицы not. Отрицательная форма can - cannot - пишется слитно.could stay — could not stay
Finite and non-finite verbs) тоже присоединяют отрицание без вспомогательного глагола do.sleeping — not sleeping.
Для вспомогательных глаголов will и shall краткой формой отрицания являются соответственно won't и shan't.is working — is n't working
has been made — has n't been made
will have done — won't have done
Negative sentence
Negative question

It's about time that we go back to these principles and make sure that the quality of cataloging is upheld.Ex. Some theorists hold that one stage must be completely worked through before the next stage can be entered.Ex. Special storage facilities have been constructed which are at present serviced manually but will soon be computerised.Ex. If a child detects that no very strong value is placed on reading then he feels no compulsion to develop his own reading skill beyond the minimal, functional level we all need simply to carry on our daily lives in our print-dominated society.Ex. The author explains how libraries can keep their services going without being slaves to the job. Pour les emplois de que avec ne, plus, moins etc on se reportera à ne, plus, moins etcque pronom relatif se traduit différemment selon qu'il a pour antécédent un nom de personne: l'homme que je vois = the man that I can see; = the man I can see; = the man who I can see; = the man whom I can see; les amis que j'ai invités = the friends that I've invited; = the friends I've invited; = the friends who I have invited; = the friends whom I have invited (dans les deux cas ci-dessus la traduction avec whom appartient au registre de la langue écrite); ou un nom de chose, concept, animal: le chien que je vois = the dog that I can see; = the dog I can see; = the dog which I can see; l'invitation que j'ai reçue = the invitation that I received; = the invitation I received; = the invitation which I received.
